Stones throw from the sea
Up a few steps from the kitchen and into the sitting room (please note the rooms are on different levels as at one time The Beach House was two cottages). A large leather sofa, an oversized contemporary armchair, Fat Boy ™ bean bags for smaller guests - which can be tucked away under the stairs. The sitting room is kitted out with plenty of books, board games, DVDs and an IPod doc so there is plenty to do in an evening in front of the log burning stove. Dual aspect natural light in this room and fresh modern art work gives the space a very new England style feel for a seaside chic holiday in the heart of Mousehole.
EatingEnter the Beach House into an open plan kitchen dining area with a separate breakfast bar area and a larder & utility room adjacent. Whitewashed walls, pastel painted retro chairs around a table to seat 6 or can be reduced if there are just the two of you staying. The kitchen houses top of the range appliances including a family sized dishwasher, the washing machine and tumble dryer are to be found in the larder. We have equipped the kitchen with plenty of grown-up crockery and also included bits and pieces for smaller guests. There is a high chair in the cupboard under the stairs.
SleepingA master bedroom with a king sized cast iron bed, bespoke hanging space and a dressing table; a twin bed room with cast iron beds and a bunk room (which are full sized single bed bunks but the room is very small so we suggest this is suitable only for young children).
BathingA small bathroom making the best use of space with a deep bath and an overhead shower.
ExploringMousehole is a tiny fishing village with a thriving community (so milk is just around the corner), 2 Fore Street restaurant is a firm favourite with guests and locals alike. Have a look at our bespoke guide to Cornwall:www.goodcornwallguide.co.uk for in depth information about the area.
GardenThere is a little courtyard garden accessed from either the sitting room or the utility room. A small table and chairs and BBQ area - this little spot has been astroturfed and has a small paved area for al fresco breakfasts!
ParkingPlease be aware that there is no allocated parking space outside The Beach House although you are usually able to stop outside to unload bags.
Please do budget in the car parking charge which is £2-£3 per day in peak season (weekly passes are also available). The quayside car parks are a moments' walk away and there is a larger car park at the entrance to the village as well.
