You come through the front door into a space for coats, and straight into the sitting room open plan living area of The Loft. Original stripped floorboards, ceilings and Cornish box sash windows have been preserved as well as window seats and other traditional features of what was once a sail loft. A whole lot of love has been poured into restoring this little retreat; Emma Bridgewater crockery and original local artworks, a Bose iPod docking station; oversized duck egg armchairs and sofas - a fab range of books, games and DVDs. An open fire place for snuggle-down evenings in Ralph Lauren throws.
EatingGlistening black granite tops an immaculate handmade wooden galley kitchen, Fired Earth tiles, a Dualit toaster and silver teapots - you get the style? Every mod con has been cleverly integrated or tucked away in the 'Captains' cupboard. Clever!
SleepingA cast iron king-sized bed, original stripped floorboards, a little fireplace and cleverly hidden storage for your holiday unpacking. As you would expect, it's the little touches that make this bedroom special, the cushions, the mohair rugs, the Roberts Radio, the original artwork.
BathingFired Earth tiles in serpentine, a separate power shower, a claw foot roll-top bath for two and a Lloyd Loom laundry basket (dipped in Farrow & Ball)…. A perfect spot to rest your Cath Kidston wash bag or a chilled glass of Sauvignon Blanc?!
ParkingThere is no parking at The Loft but you may be able to park outside to do a 'bag drop' (traffic permitting). Please do budget in the car parking charge which is £2-£3 per day in peak season (weekly passes are also available). The quayside car parks are a moments' walk away and there is a larger car park at the entrance to the village as well.
